HAYWARD, Calif. - The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team will end 2011 with a home game against Cal
State Monterey Bay on December 30. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.  The Pioneers will be playing their fifth straight CCAA home contest. Cal State East Bay is 2-2 in CCAA play and 4-4 for the season.  The Pioneers lost two games to Cal State Monterey Bay during the 2010-11 season.

Cal State East Bay, averaging 78.5 points a game, leads the CCAA in scoring. The Pioneers are also the top CCAA team in turnover margin (+9.3) and fewest turnovers (9.3).

Roshun Wynne is fifth in scoring in the CCAA averaging 15.3 points a game. Wynne is tied for first in steals (2.0) and fifth in 3-point percentage (47.1%). He was the CCAA Player of the Week for December 2-3.

Mark Samuels is tied for sixth in scoring in the CCAA at 14.3ppg and is 15th in rebounds averaging six a game.

Nick Marshall ranks 19th in scoring with an 11.3 average while Quinton Lilley, coming off two solid games against Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State LA, is tied for 24th in scoring (10.3ppg). Lilley is second in field goal percentage (69.6%).

Jacari Whitfield, averaging four assists a game, is tied for first in the CCAA.

Cal State Monterey Bay is 1-3 in CCAA play and 2-6 for the season.  The Otters are led in scoring by Brandon Ward, the third leading scorer in the CCAA averaging 16 points a game. Kevin Loustale is the CCAA leader in field goal percentage (70.0%) while James Thomas tops the conference in 3-point field goals made with three per game.
