RENO, Nev. - Facing the likes of UC Davis and host Nevada-Reno, the Pioneer women's swimming team turned in a solid performance at a tri-meet on January 15.

Murphy Wimer had a strong meet as she finished sixth in the 200 yard backstroke in 2:14.17 and was seventh in the 200 yard free with a time of 2:01.64.

Rachel Knowles clocked a time of 2:34.17 to finish sixth in the 200 yard breastroke. Knowles completed a productive afternoon with an eighth place finish in the 50 yard free, 27.68.

Lindsay Miller finished eighth in the 100 yard free timed in 57.90.

The Pioneers received two other eighth place finishes from Sara Bonino in the 200 yard butterfly, 2:20.06 and Rebecca Stratton in the 500 yard free, 5:53.42.

Cal State East Bay returns to action next weekend when it travels to Southern California to meet Chapman, Soka and Azusa Pacific in Orange, Calif., on Jan. 22.
