Gabe Kindred had a big weekend for the Pioneer men's basketball team, which split two games at home and picked up its first CCAA win of the season on Friday against Cal State Dominguez Hills. The senior guard led all scorers with 18 points in the victory, shooting 5-for-10 from the floor and knocking down 3-of-4 from three-point range. He also grabbed four rebounds and posted a team-high three steals. The following night, Kindred filled up the scoresheet again in a narrow loss to Cal State L.A. He finished with 22 points -- the third time this season he has surpassed 20 points in a game -- and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line. For the season, Kindred leads the Pioneers and ranks seventh in the CCAA with 18.7 points per game.
