Nick Hudson, a junior transfer from UC San Diego, pitched perhaps his best game as a Pioneer against his former team last weekend. Hudson tossed seven innings, matching a season high. He allowed just one run and picked up the victory as the Pioneers beat the Tritons 11-3 in Saturday's finale to earn a four-game split in their first CCAA road series of the year. The Benicia native allowed five hits and matched a season high with six strikeouts. Hudson has been a great pick-up for the Pioneers this season, going 2-1 with a 2.41 ERA in 37.1 innings. He's second on the team in appearances, having made five starts and five relief outings.
