Navarrete turned in a remarkably efficient performance last week to lead the CSUEB men to a pair of huge home victories, keeping them in first place in the CCAA and notching the program's first 20-win season since 1999-00. He tallied 22 points on 11-for-15 shooting in a 13-point win over SF State on Thursday. Then two days later, he racked up a season-high 28 points on a ridiculous 13-for-15 shooting performance, adding 12 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the year as the Pioneers erased a late deficit to squeak out a one-point win over Sonoma. The junior shot 80 percent from the field last week (24-for-30), averaging 25.0 points and 9.0 rebounds as the Pioneers clinched a first-round home game in the CCAA Tournament.
