McKiernan earned her second Athlete of the Week award in the month of September thanks to a pair of monster performances this past week. She is now the leading hitter in the CCAA (.429) after leading the Pioneers to a perfect 2-0 start to conference play with victories over Cal State Monterey Bay and Humboldt State. McKiernan led the Pioneers with 16 kills, three total blocks, and a .652 attack percentage in a four-set win over CSUMB to open CCAA player. She was East Bay's top attacker again on Saturday in a five-set win over the Jacks, tallying 14 kills, three more blocks, and a .500 hitting percentage. For the week, the junior middle blocker racked up 30 kills and made just two attack errors.
