Sarah Perrin claimed first place in the 2-Mile Run on Saturday at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. Her time of 11:30.57 topped the field of 19 runners and out-paced her nearest competitor by nearly four seconds. Perrin, who was the 2013 CCAA Freshman of the Year for the Pioneer cross country team, led Saturday's race wire to wire.
