Sara Hudyn led the Pioneer water polo team to two victories at home this past Sunday. The senior scored a goal in the early match as Cal State East Bay hung on for a crucial conference win over Sonoma State, 5-3. She then paced the squad with four goals in the second game, a 16-6 blowout of Mercyhurst, East Bay's most lopsided victory of the season. One year after leading the nation and setting a single-season school record with 109 goals, Hudyn is having a strong senior season, leading the Pioneers with 43 goals. The team has a season-high three-game winning streak heading into its conference home contests versus Cal State San Bernardino.
