Steve Spencer joined Cal State East Bay Athletics in 2020 as an Athletics Academic Advisor.
He has a professional blend of academic and athletic leadership. Prior to CSUEB, he served as Graduate Student Services Advisor at Academy of Art University.
Spencer also has served on the admissions staff as the Northern California Admissions Representative for Johnson & Wales University and Director of Admissions at Holy Names University.
Spencer also coached basketball at the collegiate level, including a successful stretch as head coach for Holy Names where he led the Hawks to multiple CalPac titles in women's basketball. Twice he was named CalPac Women's Basketball Coach of the Year.
As an athletic administrator, Spencer served as Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Holy Names University after he coached.
