Preslee Rivera joined Cal State East Bay as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2023.
Rivera previously served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Menlo College and Head Athletic Trainer at Castro Valley High School.
Rivera describes her passion for athletic training as a profession:
"Growing up around sports, being an athlete myself, and having an injury that changed my path has brought me into this profession and I wouldn't have changed any of it. To me, being an Athletic Trainer isn't a 'job' but a hobby I get paid to do everyday. I get to come in, watch sports, work with amazing athletes, and have fun everyday with everything I do, it is truly a passion."
Rivera earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Cal State Monterey Bay and a Master's of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
In addition to her degrees, Rivera holds certifications for ATC, CPT and CMT.
