In 2024, Matt Page joined the Cal State East Bay Baseball coaching staff.
Before becoming a Pioneer, Page coached baseball at multiple institutions. Most recently, he served on the coaching staff at the University of Antelope Valley. He also coached at Western Oklahoma State College, West Virginia Wesleyan College and his alma mater, St. Ambrose University.
At UAV, the team won three conference championships, made two regional appearances and was ranked as high as No. 14. At Western Oklahoma, the team was ranked as high as No. 2 and had a 47-10 record in 2019.
Throughout his coaching career, Page has recruited and coached student-athletes nationally and internationally, with an ability to identify infielders, outfielders, pitchers and hitters. Part of his leadership abilities includes effective communication, coaching and mentoring student-athletes to development of interpersonal skills using baseball as a teaching mechanism.
Page's playing career included four seasons of independent professional baseball and a playing career at St. Ambrose.
From St. Ambrose, Page earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management and earned his master's degree in Applied Exercise Science from Concordia University - Chicago.
Originally from Reno, Nevada, Page graduated from Galena High School.
