In July 2024, Hannah Johnson joined the Cal State East Bay women's basketball coaching staff.
Johnson's previous coaching experience includes serving as the head player development coach for United Potential Basketball in 2023, assistant coach for Bishop Alemany High School, head coach for Depiro Sports Club in Malta for the U19 and U14 teams and head coach for the United World Games U16 program, where the team earned a gold medal.
On the court, Johnson played four seasons for the University of Washington. The Huskies reached the Women's Final Four during her first season of action on the floor with the program in 2015-16. At UW, Johnson scored over 500 points in her career and over 400 rebounds. As a junior, Johnson had a team-high 162 rebounds, appearing in all 30 games with 24 starts. In 2016-17, Johnson averaged 3.5 points-per-game and 3.7 rebounds-per-game, as the Huskies reached the NCAA Regional in Oklahoma City.
Johnson led Bishop Alemany High School to a CIF State Championship in 2013. That season, she was named First Team All-State and CIF Southern Section Player of the Year.
Johnson played professional basketball in Malta for three seasons.
In 2018, Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in Gender Women's and Sexuality Studies from the University of Washington and in 2019, earned a master's degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from UW.
