Liz Warren

Former Cal State East Bay standout Liz Warren enteras her second season with the Pioneer women’s water polo coaching staff starting in 2015-16.

Warren has been a coach at multiple levels since graduating from Cal State East Bay in 2011. Her stops include time as the head coach of the varsity girls team at Lincoln High School from 2012-13. She then went on to lead the 18 and under girls squad at Big Valley Water Polo Academy the following year.

Most recently Warren spent time as an assistant coach at San Joaquin Delta College. Arriving at Cal State East Bay, she has brought with her former SJDC standout Victoria Dettloff to the 2015 squad.

Warren was part of the 2008 Collegiate III National Championship team under current head coach Lisa Cooper. She was a two-time Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Honorable Mention and a recipient of multiple All-Academic awards.

Warren is one of only three players in program history to score more than 200 goals, finishing with 241 at the conclusion of her 4-year career. She boasts two of the program’s 10 highest single season scoring performances including a personal best 84 goals in 2009.

The Stockton, Calif. native attended Bear Creek High School before moving to Hayward to become a Pioneer in 2007. In her spare time Warren enjoys playing water polo, attending sports events, and cheering on the Oakland Raiders.
