AS A JUNIOR (2024): Placed second in the long jump in the Chico Invitational with a personal best mark of 5.20 meters ... Was on the second place relay team in the Chico Invitational ... Season-best 13.25 seconds in the 100 meters at the West Coast Relays.

BEFORE CAL STATE EAST BAY (Laney College): Attended Laney College for three years and participated in Track & Field. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Skyline High School in 2019 ... Participated in Cross Country and Track & Field ... Was on championship teams in the Arcadia Relays ... Competed with relay teams, sprints and long jump.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Vernone Young and Ronald Carey ... Sister of Nljia Sanders... Enjoys running, rug tidying, drawing, painting, making music and hanging out with friends and family ... Favorite athletes are Florence Griffith Joyner, Allyson Felix, Sha'Carri Richardson, Usain Bolt and all black long jumpers ... Enjoys eating seafood, roast and dessert ... Chose Cal State East Bay because: "They chose me but it was my goal to make it here since I’m older and more established as an adult already in the Bay Area I wanted to attend a university close by but as I looked into it, I seen that I really liked what they had to offer and I was super psyched to be a part of the new track team because East Bay was known for their cross country team primarily so now I get be apart of making a name for the sprinters in the jumpers."
