Sue Bateson enters her third season as assistant coach for Pioneer cross country and track program in 2019-20. A former CSUEB student athlete, she competed in women's cross country, track, and soccer. Bateson placed fifth in the 400 meters as a senior at CCAA Championships, the highest finish by a CSUEB runner in that event during the CCAA era. She was also a CCAA All-Academic honoree and earned her bachelor's degree in Business with a minor in Kinesiology in 2017.
