Daniel Pescador

Daniel Pescador is in his second season as an assistant Cross Country and Track coach for Cal State East Bay in 2013-14. He serves as the recruiting coordinator for the men's and women's programs.

In 2012-13, Pescador helped develop CSUEB track's first All-CCAA runner in Daniel Damian (eighth place in 2013 3K steeplechase). In January of 2013, he obtained his USA Track and Field Level 1 coaching certification.

Pescador began his coaching career as an assistant coach for cross country and track at his alma mater, Highland High School in Gilbert, Ariz., in 2008. He helped lead the men's team to the school's first-ever Division 1 State Championship in 2011, with the woman's team finishing in third place. Daniel also coached the woman's 4x800 relay team to back-to-back State Championships in 2011 and 2012, featuring current Pioneer runner Imani Heath. In four years at Highland, he helped produce several runners who went on to compete at the Division I and II colegiate levels. 

Daniel graduated from Northwest Missouri State (Maryville, MO) in 2009. As a student-athlete, he served as captain of the cross country team and ran primarily the 3K steeplechase and the 5K for the track team.

Pescador was a 2002 graduate of Highland High School. He served as team captain for the cross country and track teams for two years and helped lead the cross country team to consecutive state championships. He was an All-Region honoree as a senior.
