Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2013-14): Recorded three top-21 finishes at the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference (PCSC) Championships...Qualified for consolation final in the 100-yard butterfly...Finished 10th overall in 100 fly (58.48)...Took 18th in 50 free (24.57) and 21st in 100 free (54.28) at PCSC's...Earned Academic All-Conference honors maintaining a 3.5+ grade point average.
AT NORTHERN COLORADO UNIVERSITY: Competed for two years at NCU...During the 2011-12 season, swam the second leg on both the 200 (1:35.96) and 400-yard freestyle (3:30.63) relays at the MPSF Championship...As a true freshman, had the second-fastest time on the team in the 100 free (53.23) and the third-fastest in the 50 free (24.46)...Her 24.46 in the 50 is the ninth-fastest in NCU history...Maintained a 4.0 grade point average in earning All-American academic honors...Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), SCAA and Criminal Justice Society...Also a psychology tutor.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Member of Mountain View HS swim team for four years...Is a holder of five different school records, including the 100-meter butterfly and 50-meter freestyle…As a senior, was named to the All-Colorado team and the All-Conference squad…Won the Northern Conference 50-meter freestyle championship…Also finished fourth in state competition in both the 100 and 50-meter freestyle…Finished with a 4.2 grad point average and was an honor roll member in each of her four years at MVHS...Also the senior class representative...Member of the National Honors Society and MVHS student counsel.
PERSONAL: A psychology major...Interests and hobbies include glitter, dancing, Will Ferrell, being patriotic, and holding hands...Favorite athletes are Tim Tebow and Von Miller...Enjoys eating bratwurst, steak, potatoes, and croutons...Lists favorire movies as "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "Step Brothers," "Old School," "Blades of Glory" and any other Will Ferrell films...Likes to watch "Duck Dynasty," "The Office" and "Ke$ha's My Crazy Beautiful Life"...Likes to listen to Ke$ha and backwoods country music...Favorite thing about the Bay Area is the ocean...Has an older brother Ryan (23)...Born on Jan. 18, 1993...Parents are Ted Baum and Sue Reed-Baum.
