Claire Beaty serves as an intern for athletic operations and communications, and is also an assistant coach for the Pioneer swim team. Beaty earned her undergraduate degree from CSUEB in 2018. A four-year member of the swim team and five-time All-American, Beaty holds program records in both breaststroke events. In 2017-18, she served as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President, was NCAA DII national runner-up in the 200 Breast, won CSUEB's Female Athlete of the Year award and was selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-American.
In her first season as an assistant coach at CSUEB, Beaty helped lead the Pioneers to the Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference (PCSC) championship. As an athlete, Beaty qualified for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 200m breaststroke.
