DeNise enters her second season as Assistant Coach at Cal State East Bay after a historic 2018-2019 season, as the team became Pacific Collegiate Swimming Conference Champions for the first time in university history. Was the lead coach of the IM and distance freestyle swimmers.
Caitlin Denise enters her first season on the Cal State East Bay coaching staff in 2018-19. A native of Davis, Calif., DeNise was a two-time All-American for the Pioneers and was named Female Athlete of the Year in 2013-14.
She still holds individual Pioneer records for the 50 Freestyle (23.35), 100 Freestyle (50.79), and 100 Butterfly (54.78). At the time of her graduation, DeNise also shared four relay records that have since been toppled.
DeNise spent one season as an assistant coach at the University of the Pacific before returning to CSUEB as head coach of the University's Master's Swimming program, helping create workouts and training programs. She also served as an assistant coach for two years with the Pleasanton Seahawks, where she coached junior national and national qualifiers as well as a 2016 Olympic Trial qualifier in the 200 Freestyle.
