Coach Annie Babicz joins the East Bay swimming staff as a newcomer to the Pioneers, but she is no stranger to swimming in the Bay Area. She enjoyed an illustrious career at Cal, and currently coaches in San Ramon for one of the region's top clubs.
Annie grew up swimming in Florida, where she was a 7 time high school state champion and high school record holder in the 100-yd. breaststroke. She was also a member of the 2001 National Junior Team that represented the US in Rome, Italy.
She went on to attend the University of California, Berkeley where she was a PAC 10 champion in the 100 breast and 4 time NCAA qualifier, helping the Bears to a 3rd place finish in 2006.
Annie has been coaching on the club and recreational level since 2008. She developed the aquatics programs at the Club at the Claremont in Berkeley, and is currently the assistant coach for the Crow Canyon Sharks.
