Biography
AS A SENIOR (2019-20): CSCAA All-American ... Team MVP ... Two-time CSUEB Athlete of the Week (1/22, 2/18) ... Klinger wrapped up her career as a one of the most decorated Pioneer swimmers of all-time with 45 top-10 finishes in 2020, including 12 first-place finishes...She earned the PCSC crown in the 100 Freestyle and helped the 400 Freestyle Relay team take the PCSC crown as well...Klinger set program records in the 50 Free (23.29) and the 100 Free (50.57) at the PCSC Championships...Member of the first ever back-to-back PCSC Championship Team...For the third consecutive season she was invited to the NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships...Finished 24th overall in the 100 Free and 14th in the 50 Free...Named an DII All-American for the second time.
AS A JUNIOR (2018-2019): CSCAA Scholar All-American ... Klinger continued to excel this season, beginning at the Collegiate Winter Invitational by winning the 50 freestyle (23.83), placing 2nd in the 100 freestyle (51.15), and 2nd in the 100 butterfly (56.38). Her winning streak continued at the PCSC Championships starting with a third place finish in the 200 medley relay. She followed up the next day by becoming the PCSC Champion in the 50 freestyle (23.53), earning a NCAA B cut, as well as being a member of the PCSC Champion 200 freestyle relay team (1:35.48). She placed 3rd in the 100 butterfly (55.66), earning an NCAA B cut. On the third day, the 400 Medley team placed 3rd (3:50.79). Wrapping up the meet, Klinger became a PCSC Champion once again in the 100 freestyle (50.84), earning her third NCAA B cut. At the NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships, Klinger had a fantastic meet, breaking two school records; The 50 freestyle (13th place, 23.33) and the 100 freestyle (11th place, 50.77). Also swam the 100 butterfly moving up 4 spots to finish 25th in the nation (55.87)... Named to the CSCAA 2019 Scholar All-American Team for the second year in a row...Named Athlete of the Week for March 11-17.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-2018): CSCAA Scholar All-American ... Klinger was a strong asset to the Pioneer team. At the PCSC Championships...Member of the third place 200 Medley Relay (1:43.65)...Fifth place finish in the "A" final of the 50 Freestyle (23.66)....second place finish in the 100 Fly (55.22)...sixth place in the 100 Freestyle (51.86)...Member of the third place 200 Freestyle Relay (1:34.07)...Member of the second place 400 Medley Relay (3:45.36)...Member of the third place 400 Freestyle Relay (3:27.66). Qualified for the NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championship in Greensboro, NC in the 100 Fly. At NCAA's...Member of the All-American and school record breaking seventh place 200 Medley Relay (1:42.29)...Member of the 14th place 200 Freestyle Relay (1:34.08)...33rd in the 100 Fly (56.85)... 32nd place finish in the 100 Freestyle (51.33)...Member of the All-American and school record breaking fifth place 400 Medley Relay (3:45.07). Named to the 2017-18 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team.
PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Attended San Diego State University in 2016 and participated in the Mountain West Conference Championships.
