Amy Gerace

Amy Gerace enters her 17th season as head coach of the Cal State East Bay women's soccer team in 2017. Gerace has accumulated 107 victories while guiding the Pioneers to four 10-win seasons. She is the longest tenured coach in the program's 33-year history.

In 2016, Gerace earned her 100th career coaching victory in a 3-0 win over Academy of Art at Pioneer Stadium.

In 2014, Gerace led Cal State East Bay to its fourth season of six wins or more over the past five years. Rachel Armstrong and Megan Ravenscroft were named to the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Honorable Mention team.

During her time at the helm in Division III (2000-09), Gerace mentored four Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Players of the Year and 18 All-AD3I players. This group is highighted by Class of 2014 Cal State East Bay Hall of Fame Inductee Ashley Shadd Wood (2002-06).

Gerace led the Pioneers to their first ever victory in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play defeating Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 27, 2009. She has amassed 17 CCAA victories including four wins in 2013.

In 2008, Gerace guided East Bay to its third straight winning season and saw Koree Palmer named AD3I Goalkeeper of the Year. Palmer joined three other Pioneers in Christina Quitasol, Whitney Craign and Breanna Baker on the All-AD3I teams. In 2007, Christina Quitasol earning AD3I Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors and Jackie Cruz collecting the Defensive Player of the Year award. The Pioneers also had four players named to the All-AD3I teams for the second straight season.

Gerace came to Cal State East Bay from Chabot College, where she served as an assistant coach from 1999-2000 and spent one season as the Gladiators' athletics coordinator. Gerace was also a coach at Liberty High School from 1996-2000. During this time, Liberty made their first postseason appearance, making it to the North Coast quarterfinals.

Gerace played two years at Cal State East Bay (1996-97) where she was named All-Nor Cal Athletic Conference her junior season. She played two years at Diablo Valley College and was an all-league performer for Liberty High School.

Gerace received her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, as well as a Master's of Science in Kinesiology from Cal State East Bay.
