Biography
AS A JUNIOR (2011): Steady performer for the Pioneers throughout the 2011 season…Finished 149th place at the NCAA II West Regionals and had a season-best time of 6K time of 25:00.9 to finish 82nd at the CCAA Championships…Finished 85th out of 184 competitors at the Bronco Invitational…Helped Pioneers capture the Sonoma State Invitational with a 21st place finish.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010): Competed in every race for the Pioneers as a sophomore…Posted her best 6k time of the season at CCAA Championships, taking nearly two minutes off her time from the 2009 championship meet…Clocked a time of 20:37 at the Bronco Invitational to post her best 5k time of the campaign…Spent the summer of 2011 competing with the U.S. Inline Speed Skating Team at World Championships in South Korea.
AS A FRESHMAN (2009): Received CCAA All-Academic honors...Recorded a time of 21:02 to finish 70th in the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational...Posted a time of 26:57.8 at the CCAA Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: A 2009 graduate of Milpitas High School... Competed four years in cross country and track... Female Freshman Athlete of the Year... Won the Sportsmanship Award... Named MVP all four years for cross country and twice in track & field... Voted Most Inspirational twice...Honored with the Bill Bebout Award for best all-around junior athlete... Four-time Scholar-athlete... President and founder of the Poetry Slam Club... Also competed for The Milpitas Speed inline speed skating club.
