AS A JUNIOR (2011): Started 21 games and appeared in 28…Scored eight runs and drove in four…Drew eight walks in 68 at-bats…Committed just two errors in 90 chances to help the Pioneers set a new record for fielding percentage…One of just four East Bay players to record a triple during the 2011 campaign…Went 1-for-2 with two RBI in her best game at the plate – a win over SF State in April.

AT CERRITOS COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Played two seasons at first base and in the outfield at Cerritos College…Helped the Falcons take home back-to-back South Coast Conference titles and compile a combined record of 80-17-1…Earned first-team All-South Coast Conference honors…Took home the Cerritos Coach's Award and batted .355 with five homeruns and 30 RBI as a sophomore.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: A two-sport athlete at Gahr High School…Played four years of volleyball and softball for Gahr…Helped the softball team to back-to-back San Gabriel Valley League titles as a junior and senior…A two-time all-league honoree in softball…Also earned a second-team all-league selection as a middle blocker on the volleyball team as a senior…Played nine seasons of club ball with Artesia Punishers and one season with the SoCal Waves, an ASA women’s fastpitch team.

PERSONAL: Majoring in criminal justice…Enjoys reading in her spare time…Lists Tommy’s Burgers as her favorite food…Loves all movies, especially action, comedy and Disney films…Chose Cal State East Bay for the chance to play softball…Has one older brother, David (26)…Born Nov. 23, 1990…Parents are David and Nanette Salmones.
