HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Los Angeles River High School...was a four-year member of the Varsity Track and Field Team...was on the varsity cross country team for three years..Southern League.Track and Field League Champs in 2014...Cross Country, L.A. CIF Third Place Team in 2014-15...Track and Field MVP, 2012-2015...Cross Country MVP 2012-2014...Team was CIF finalist for track and field & cross country 2012-2015…High Honors Awards, 2011-2015….CIF finalist for cross country 2012-2014…GPA of 3.7 or higher throughout high school.

PERSONAL: Parents are Isidro and Teresa Venegas...has two older sisters, Yesenia (23) and Carolina (20)...Likes to be outdoors and hike...Loves baseball and  his two favorite athletes are Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke...likes to eat pizza and home made pasta...favorite movies are The Dark Knight Rises and The Pursuit of Happyness...choose Cal State East Bay because he wanted to explore something new.
