A former Pioneer midfielder, Evan Sanchez returned to the CSUEB campus in 2023 as assistant men's soccer coach.
He also serves as head coach for the MVLA Soccer Club. Sanchez has also coached at Foothill College as an assistant coach.
Sanchez's playing career at East Bay included two seasons on the pitch with seven goals, six of which were scored in 2017. During the 2017 season, two of the goals were netted against Southern Nazarene on September 8, including a game winner.
Sanchez holds a USSF 'B' License, USSF 'C' License, along with several certifications from United Soccer Coaches including an Advanced National Diploma, Mental Performance Training certificate and Level 1 and Level 2 Performance Analysis.
