Anthony Lozano joined the Pioneers as an assistant coach in Spring of 2023.
Lozano started his coaching career at Holy Names University in 2018 and served as the Head Cross Country & Track coach from 2021-23 He coached multiple school records in the men’s 8k & 10k. As well as the women’s 1500m, 5k, and 6k.
Lozano graduated from California Baptist University where he competed for the Lancers from 2015-2018. In his time there, the Lancers saw historic DII success. Lozano was part of multiple conference championships and national qualifying teams. In track, he qualified for Nationals individually in the 1500 meters. His personal bests were 3:48 in the 1500m, 14:39 in the 5k, 24:27 in the 8k & 31:17 in the 10k. He still remains on the all-time record list in the 1500 meters.
Lozano received his associates from Cerritos College in 2015. He served as captain of the Cross Country team and remains on the all-time record lists in the 1500 meters & 5k.
