HAYWARD, Calif. - The PCSC announced its weekly honors for this past week's competition. From the final two regular season meets for Cal State East Bay women's swimming, Alexia Fajardo was named PCSC Female Swimmer of the Week and Amaya Rocheleau was named PCSC Female Freshman of the Week.

Alexia Fajardo - PCSC Female Swimmer of the Week
Fajardo delivered a dominant week in the pool, posting multiple personal bests, breaking a program record and earning her fourth career PCSC weekly award — and her second of the season.

Fajardo shattered the school record in the 200-yard butterfly with a personal-best 2:01.09, hitting the NCAA "B" standard, winning the event and posting a time that currently ranks eighth nationally. She won three of the four butterfly events on the schedule, including the 50 fly (25.50 seconds, PB), 150 fly (1:30.39, PB) and 200 fly, and finished second in the 100 fly (55.87 seconds, NCAA "B") while adding a third-place finish in the 100 individual medley (59.82 seconds, PB).

She also contributed key legs on both winning medley relays, anchoring the 200 medley relay in 23.56 and the 400 medley relay in 51.58.

Fajardo's performances were instrumental in Cal State East Bay's wins over the University of the Pacific and Simon Fraser over the weekend.

Anaya Rocheleau - PCSC Female Freshman of the Week
Freshman Amaya Rocheleau played a decisive role in Cal State East Bay's victories over Division I University of the Pacific and top Division II contender Simon Fraser, delivering clutch sprint performances across both days of competition.

Rocheleau won the 50-yard freestyle in a season-best 24.00 seconds and followed with a personal-best 52.58 seconds to finish second in the 100 freestyle — two swims that proved pivotal in securing the win over Pacific on Saturday. Both times moved her into the top 10 of the PCSC rankings.
