HAYWARD, Calif. - The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team won its second consecutive match on Saturday evening at Pioneer Stadium with a 3-0 shutout of Menlo College. Morgan Pearson scored a goal for second consecutive match along with an assist. Mika Sayfurahman and Jaeden Nelson also found the net on Saturday.
In the 35th minute, Mika Sayfurahman netted a header her third goal in as many matches, putting the Pioneers ahead 1-0. Morgan Pearson assisted on the opening goal.
Pearson converted a penalty kick in the 59th minute, putting East Bay up 2-0.
A free kick was awarded to the Pioneers in the 77th minute. And Jaeden Nelson took the free kick from long range and found the right side of the frame for a 3-0 lead.
- Pearson had a team-high four shots. With a goal and an assist on Saturday, Pearson had five points for the week.
- In addition to Pearson's four shots, other Pioneers with multiple shots taken included Gabriella Rodil with three and with two each, Sayfurahman, Harlye Holliday and Lexie Randolph.
- In net Madison Dong picked up a shutout and her second win in a row.

On Saturday, September 28, the Pioneers host Senior Day at Pioneer Stadium with a non-conference match against Cal State San Marcos. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m., but prior to kickoff, the Senior Day ceremony will take place honoring the Pioneers in their final expected season with the program.
