FRESNO, Calif. - In a closely contested match on Saturday afternoon, the Cal State East Bay men's soccer team suffered a narrow 1-0 non-conference defeat against Fresno Pacific University at Ramirez Field.
The match remained deadlocked throughout the first half, with both teams demonstrating strong defensive play. However, the deadlock was broken in the 54th minute when Fresno Pacific's Fabricio Pozas Saboya found the net, with an assist from teammate Chris Macias for a 1-0 lead.
- The Pioneers matched Fresno Pacific in total shots (5-5) and shots on goal (3-3).
- Aaron Farnan led the team with two shots, including one on target.
