VISTA, Calif. - The women's water polo weekly awards for the WWPA were announced on Wednesday. Cal State East Bay senior goalkeeper Daniela Passoni was named WWPA Defensive Player of the Week after the first two matches of the 2024 season for the Pioneers. 

Passoni, who has a strong collection of accolades, just added one more this week after going 1-1 protecting the Pioneer cage with a .548 save percentage against two NCAA Division opponents. Passoni made 12 saves against Santa Clara and 11 against then No. 16 Pacific. She also had a pair of steals against SCU.
