HAYWARD, Calif. - Cal State East Bay men's soccer and San Francisco State battled to a 0-0 draw in a tightly contested CCAA match Thursday at Pioneer Stadium. The Pioneers are unbeaten in their last two matches.
The Pioneers engaged in a defensive struggle, with both teams failing to find the back of the net despite numerous opportunities.
Cal State East Bay's best scoring chance came in the 86th minute when Aaron Farnan's shot forced a save from SF State goalkeeper Hayden Frost. The Pioneers continued to press late, with Ezekiel Anaya testing Frost again in the 89th minute, but to no avail.
San Francisco State's most dangerous opportunity arose in the 87th minute when Georgi Stoyanov's attempt was saved by the Pioneer defense.
