HAYWARD, Calif. - On Thursday evening, Cal State East Bay women's soccer scored a goal in the 84th minute lifing the Pioneers to a 1-0 win at Pioneer Stadium.

- Abigail Kern took a shot from a distance. After the save, Kelsey Pena rebounded and scored the first goal of the season putting the Pioneers ahead 1-0 in the 84th minute.Â
- Pena's goal was the fifth of her career at Cal State East Bay.
- Four Pioneers had three shots on Thursday including Pena, Kern, Mika Sayfurahman and Sarah Cox.Â
- Cal State East Bay had a 15-8 advantage in shots.Â
- In net, Jazlyn Castillo and Jordan Smith played 45 minutes each to combine for the shutout. Smith made three saves in the second half to preserve the shutout.Â
- Thursday's win ended a 14-match winless streak for the Pioneers dating back to the 2022 season.Â
