IRVINE, Calif. - The first road match of the 2023 season for the Cal State East Bay women's soccer team did not go in th team's favor as the Pioneers dropped a non-conference match, 1-0 to Concordia University Irvine.
- The lone goal of the match was scored in the 23rd minute from Val Cortez as the Golden Eagles led 1-0. Maddie Lauro assisted on Cortez's goal.

The Pioneers continue their Southern California road trip with a non-conference match at Cal State San Marcos on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. from The Cage on the CSUSM campus. Although both teams meeting on Saturday are CCAA members, the match will not count toward conference standings.
