AUSTIN, Texas – The 2022-23 Division II Academic All-America® Women's At-Large Teams were announced Thursday by College Sports Communicators. From Cal State East Bay, sophomore golfer Jasmin Krishna was named to the Academic All-America® Third Team.
 
Krishna was selected after initially receiving Academic All-District® honors after a combination of athletic and academic success. She was one of 50 student-athletes to be named to the Division II Women's At-Large category. Student-athletes selected in the Division II At-Large category in 2022-23 competed in beach volleyball, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, rowing, skiing and water polo.
 
Krishna's performance on the golf course helped the Pioneers qualify for their first NCAA Division II Championship appearance in program history. During the NCAA Championships, the Pioneers advanced to medal match play, which was also a first for the program. Individual awards for Krishna in 2022-23 included All-CCAA Honorable Mention and the CCAA All-Tournament Team after placing fifth on the leaderboard at the conference's championship tournament. She carded a season low 73 twice in the regular season and had three top-15 finishes.
 
For 2022-23, Krishna is one of three student-athletes from Cal State East Bay to receive Academic All-America® honors for NCAA Division II. Brooklyn Dressel from was named to the Academic All-America Third Team for women's swimming and Daniela Passoni, from women's water polo, was named to the Academic All-America® Second Team in the women's at-large category.
