INDIANAPOLIS - The 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships begin next Monday at four golf courses with regional play. Selected to compete in the NCAA Division II West Regional is the Cal State East Bay women's golf team.
The Pioneers are one of 12 teams selected for the West Regional. In addition to the 12 teams, six individual golfers from teams outside the 12 will join the field. For Cal State East Bay, it will be the second straight season in which the team received an at-large bid for the NCAA Division II West Regional.
Cal State East Bay is ranked No. 16 in the latest Golfstat team rankings for Division II women's golf. In the regional poll, the Pioneers are No. 6. CSUEB's most recent tournament was the CCAA Golf Championships on April 17-19 in Riverside where the Pioneers placed third. In the spring season, the Pioneers won three tournaments in team scoring.
The NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Regional takes place May 8-10 at Golf Club of Dallas in Dallas, Texas. Earlier in the season, the Pioneers played on the same course in the West Regional Preview on October 3-4, 2022, which was hosted by Dallas Baptist.
