VISTA, Calif. – On Thursday, the Western Water Polo Association announced the winner for Women's Water Polo Player of the Week. From Cal State East Bay, goalkeeper Daniela Passoni earned the weekly honor for her performances in net during a three-match road trip to Southern California.
 
Passoni made 45 total saves over a three-game stretch. In a 13-6 win over Chapman, Passoni recorded a season-high 17 saves. Her 14 saves against Biola on March 31 helped the Pioneers win 11-8 in conference play. Also against Biola, Passoni had three steals and one assist.
 
With Passoni's weekly award, Cal State East Bay had a player receive the award for a second consecutive week from the WWPA.
