Pioneer Men's Soccer Finishes 2023 Season with 1-1 Draw

HAYWARD, Calif. – Cal State East Bay men's soccer played its final match of the 2023 regular season by hosting Cal State San Marcos at Pioneer Stadium on Thursday. The two teams played to a 1-1 draw.

  • The Pioneers would get on the scoreboard first in the fourth minute on an own goal by the Cougars for a 1-0 lead.
  • CSUSM tied the match at 1-1 in the 49th minute on an Aaron Alvarez equalizer after passes from Giovanni Marsh and Derek Westwood.

  • Aaron Farnan for the Pioneers had a team-high four shots for the Pioneers on Thursday.
