HAYWARD, Calif. - Cal State East Bay men's soccer played its second match of a three match homestand hosting Cal Poly Humboldt at Pioneer Stadium. Each team scored in the first half on Friday evening and played to a 1-1 draw in CCAA action.
- The Lumberjacks would get on the scoreboard first in the 13th minute when Cooper Stephens rebounded his initial shot off the crossbar and put the rebound in the net for a 1-0 lead.
- Marco Antonio Campos scored his first goal of the season after a pass from Aaron Farnan in the 19th minute as the match was even at 1-1.
- For Campos, his goal was the second of his Pioneer career, as both were scored against Cal Poly Humboldt.
- Farnan's assist gives him 11 points for the season, a team-high.
- Tim Cerjak had four total shots for the Pioneers on Friday.
- Adan Corona picked up the tie in net for Cal State East Bay and had five saves.
- Each team had 15 shots apiece while the Pioneers had a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.
- After the tie, along with other action on Friday in the CCAA, the Pioneers sit in seventh place in the conference standings. They are two points out of sixth place, which represents the final spot to qualify for the CCAA Tournament. Currently, CSUEB's opponent on Sunday, Sonoma State, holds sixth place.
