Pioneers Men's Soccer Scores a Goal on Thursday

SAN FRANCISCO - Cal State East Bay men's soccer competed in a CCAA match on Thursday at Cox Stadium against San Francisco State. Although the Pioneers scored an early goal, the Gators scored an equalizer later in the first half and broke the 1-1 tie late in regulation for a 2-1 win.

GOAL SUMMARY
  • The Pioneers would get the scoreboard first in the fourth minute on a Tim Cerjak goal, which was his third of the season and was unassisted. 
  • In the 30th minute, Angel Herrera would tie the match at 1-1 off a pass from Julio Gonzalez Ponce.
  • The Gators broke the tie on an Isaac Sandoval goal after a pass from Pablo Salazar, which led to a 2-1 win for SF State.
