SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The 2022 CCAA regular season opened up on Friday for the Cal State East Bay men's soccer team, as the Pioneers were shut out 3-0 to Cal State San Marcos.
 

GOAL SUMMARY

• In the 12^th minute, Riley Patterson put CSUSM ahead 1-0 on an unassisted goal.
• Patterson struck again in the 19^th minute. Stefano Brunetto assisted on the goal that put the Cougars up 2-0.
• In the second half, CSUSM extended its lead to 3-0 on a goal from Giovanni Marsh. Derek Westwood assisted on the goal.

NOTABLE STATS

• With a shot on goal each were Aaron Farnan and Santos Fuentes Ruiz.
• The Pioneers combined for five total shots, with one each from a different player in the field.
• Landon Raftery and Mostafa Hassan were the only Pioneers to play a full 90 minutes on the pitch as field players.
