SZEGED, Hungary - Last week, the South African Women's Water Polo National Team finished the FINA World Championships with the 13th classification after an 8-7 victory over Brazil. Leading the team in net for South Africa was Cal State East Bay goalkeeper
Daniela Passoni, who made eight saves on 10 shots during the match.
South Africa finished 61 percent in saves.
This past spring, Passoni was named to the 2022 All-WWPA Second Team and ACWPC All-America Honorable Mention, and has had an outstanding career at Cal State East Bay with over 800 saves.
