Overview
CSU East Bay will return home after trips to Cambridge, Massachusetts and Southern California as they will take on Biola University. Both teams dropped three of four last Friday and Saturday.
History
The series is split at 1-1. Both matches happened at the LMU Invitational with the Pioneers taking the first match on Friday 15-5 and the Eagles won the second match 14-12.
Three Players to Watch
Adrien Van Dyke – The junior from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada leads the Pioneers in goals with 29 and shots with 65. Van Dyke had six points in the two matches last weekend against the Eagles.
Daniela Passoni – The sophomore from Waverley, South Africa leads the Pioneers in minutes played in the goal and saves. In the two matches against the Eagles, Passoni had seven saves and had seven goals allowed.
Bailey Barlow – The freshman from Corona, California is second on the team with 20 goals and is tied for second with 40 shots.
Last Weekend
As previously mentioned, the Pioneers had two matches against Biola University. On Friday, the Pioneers took on the host team for the LMU Invitational #18 Loyola Marymount University. The Lions led 7-3 at halftime en route to a 15-7 victory. On Sunday, the Pioneers allowed five goals against #19 Princeton in the first half and fell 10-6.
