HAYWARD, Calif. – For the second straight match, the Cal State East Bay men's soccer team earned a CCAA shutout victory as the Pioneers defeated San Francisco State, 1-0. Josh Gaeckle's first goal of the season made the difference on the scoreboard and Zavier Hajdukovich had his third consecutive shutout in net.
 

GOAL SUMMARY

• Set up by clean passes from Aaron Farnan and Daniil Menshikov, Gaeckle netted his first goal of the season in the 27^th minute.

NOTABLE STATS

• It was exactly one year and a day between goals scored by Gaeckle, as Sunday's goal was the third of his career.
• Hajdukovich earned a third straight shutout on Sunday with two saves. HE now has a 1.27 GAA this season.
• Menshikov and Farnan have picked up a point in consecutive matches.
