HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team returns home this weekend to kick off California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m., before playing host to rival Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m.

Both contests will be streamed live on CCAA Network, and live stats will be available.

CSUEB (3-2-1) has won its last two meetings against Cal State Dominguez Hills, including a 1-0 victory at Pioneer Stadium in their last matchup in 2019. Fourth-year head coach Robin Hart has never lost to the Toros since taking over the Pioneer program.  

East Bay dropped a non-conference matchup against Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 4 to begin this season, but defeated CSUMB in their last meeting at Pioneer Stadium, 1-0, back in 2019.

The Pioneers are coming off a non-conference road loss defeat at Stanislaus State on Sept. 25, despite having a 12-9 advantage in shot attempts and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks. 

Senior Tami Kwong and sophomore Majae De Leon are tied for the team lead this season with two goals apiece, while freshman Kylie Newman also has four total points this season on one goal with two assists.

Senior defender Kayla Morales leads East Bay will 552 minutes played on the back line, while junior defender Jill Nelsen has played 537 minutes and redshirt junior Andrea Aborqui has played 503. Junior goalkeeper Jordan Smith has tallied 10 saves this season.
