HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team is set for its final non-conference tuneup this weekend, as the Pioneers take a short trip to Stanislaus State to take on the Warriors on Saturday, Sept. 25, beginning at 7 p.m.
The contest will be streamed live on CCAA Network and live stats will be available.
CSUEB (3-1-1) is unbeaten in its last four matches and has outscored opponents 9-2 over that span. The Pioneers earned a road win over UC Merced, 4-1, their last game action, and knocked off Fresno Pacific, 2-1, on Sept. 16.
Sophomore
Majae De Leon scored the first two career goals of her Pioneer career last week en route to earning CSUEB Athlete of the Week accolades, while seniors
Riley Spitzer and
Tami Kwong each recorded one goal apiece in the victory.
Junior
Kelsey Pena and sophomore
Danya Gonzalez both scored their first goal of the season in the road win at Fresno Pacific, with Gonzalez second-half goal serving as the game winner.
Following this weekend's contest, the Pioneers begin California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play at home against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday, Oct. 1, beginning at 7 p.m.
