Stellar Defense Not Enough as East Bay Drops Match to San Marcos

HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team fell short in a rainy conference match against visiting Cal State San Marcos on Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Stadium, 1-0.

Seniors Tommy Flora, Mateo Didomenico and juinor Josh Gaeckle each had one shot on target, while freshman goalkeeper Jack Landreth recorded a career-high 10 saves.

CSUEB (2-11-1, 1-7 CCAA) returns to action next weekend with road contests at SF State on Friday, Oct. 29, as well as at Sonoma State on Sunday, Oct. 31.
