East Bay Falls Short at Humboldt State

Box Score ARCATA, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's soccer team fell behind early and couldn't catch up in a road defeat at Humboldt State, 6-1.

Sophomore defender Aaron Farnan scored his first-career goal in the 78th minute off an assist from fellow sophomore Mason Yelton. It was Yelton's first-career assist.

Freshman goalkeeper Jack Landreth tied a career high with five saves, while junior goalkeeper Kelekolio Mateo Jr. also recorded five saves.

CSUEB (2-9-1, 1-5 CCAA) returns to action at home on Friday, Oct. 22, as the Pioneers play host to Cal State San Bernardino beginning at 4:30 p.m.
