CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — This weekend, The No. 25-ranked Cal State East Bay water polo team travels to Cambridge, Mass., to play four contests at the Harvard Invite, taking place at Blodgett pool.
Their first game will be against No. 22-ranked Bucknell on Saturday, March 7, at 8:45 a.m. PT, with the second game against No. 19 Wagner with a 1:45 p.m. game time start.Â
The following day on Sunday, March 8, The Pioneers will take on host No. 17-ranked Harvard at 7:30 a.m. and will finish off the invite against Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) foe Salem at 12:30 p.m.
The Pioneers head into this weekend's invitational on a high note after winning two of three contests at last week's California Lutheran's Tina Finali Invitational in Southern California.Â
CSUEB (5-6, 2-0 WWPA) earned its first win of the season against a ranked opponent in an 11-8 victory over then-No. 25 California Baptist. The Pioneers followed it up by defeating Austin College, 16-7, before having its four-game winning streak snapped by No. 14-ranked Indiana, 10-17.

Ivanna Anderson had a big week for East Bay, tallying five goals, six assists and six steals over the three contests, highlighted by a two-goal, two-assist and two-steal performance against California Baptist.Â
In addition, sophomore goalkeeper
Daniela Passoni racked up nine saves in the win over CBU and had eight saves against Indiana.
