THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The No. RV Cal State East Bay water polo team split two contests on Saturday to wrap up this weekend's Tina Finali Memorial Tournament, hosted by California Lutheran.
CSUEB (6-6, 2-0 WWPA) defeated Austin College to begin the day, 16-7, before falling in the second contest to No. 14-ranked Indiana, 17-10.
The loss to the Hoosiers snapped a Pioneers' four-game winning streak, which included a key victory over No. 25 California Baptist on Friday.

Junior
Adrien Van Dyke scored four goals, while
Ivanna Anderson,
Jordan Jarandson and
Auriel Bill added two goals apiece for East Bay's fourth-straight win.
Sophomore
Brighton Kinney finished with six saves for the Pioneers, who led the Kangaroos by five after the first quarter and 11-4 entering the fourth.Â
Ten different Pioneers scored a goal, including the first of the season by senior
Rheanna Lawrence.

Junior
Payton Bosque had three goals with two steals, while Anderson finished with two goals, an assist and two steals. Sophomore
Daniela Passoni tallied eight saves with a steal and junior
Leti Mosqueda added a goal and four steals.
The Pioneers came out strong behind an opening goal by junior
Payton Bosque, and consecutive goals by Bill and junior
Maddie Wittkowske made it 4-3 after the first quarter.
After a lengthy run by the Hoosiers (10-5), CSUEB fought back with six goals in the fourth.
The Pioneers will travel to the East Coast next week for the Harvard Invite on March 7-8.
